April Vacation Camps for Massachusetts & New Hampshire

We are located in Littleton Massachusetts directly off of 495.

Below are the available camps and 1/2 day clinics for older riders. 

Availability is on a first-registered basis. Waitlists are available.

Unmounted Camp for children ages 6-9 (MA Vacation)

April 19 - April 23, 2021

Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 - Safety (working around horses and leading horses)

 - Grooming (how to properly groom a horse and why we groom them)

 - Daily horse care (what it takes to own a horse)

 - Learning how to properly tack and untack a horse (and why each step done properly is important). 

 - Fun games and activities daily.

 **This is an unmounted camp. There will be work with and around horses, but there will not be any riding in this class.

Introduction to horses for beginners age 11-15 (MA Vacation)

Monday, April 19, 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

 - Learn about horses.

 - Safety 

 - How to groom, handle and work around them. 

No prior experience to attend this clinic.

First Aid for Horses Ages 11 - 15 (MA Vacation)

*Attendess must have prior experience handling horses. (Can independently halter, lead and work around horses.) 

Tuesday, April 20, 2021 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

A 3-hour hands-on clinic learning about first aid care of horses.

 - Learn to take vital signs

 - How to assess lameness

 - Symptoms of colic

 - Learn to wrap a leg properly.

 - Clean and care for a superficial cut.

 - When to call the vet, and what information your vet will ask for.

 - Preventative care to keep your horse healthy for a lifetime.

Learn Proper Lunging Ages 11-15 (MA Vacation)

**Attendees must already have the ability to halter, lead, and handle horses independently in order to attend this clinic.

Wednesday, April 21, 2021 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Attendees will learn what equipment you need to properly lunge a horse. 

 - How to use equipment.

 - Safety measurements to take for both handler and horse. 

 - Hands on practice and more.

Naturopathic Therapies for Horses Ages 11-15 (MA Vacation)

This clinic is for attendees ages 11 - 15* (*or special permission of Deb Brosnan).

Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

This clinic will let you have hands on practice learning:

 - What the physical signs of pain and discomfort are.

 - Massage techniques

 - Stretching exercises

 - Naturopathic options for supporting your horse during recovery.
